The temperature in the North of the UK is often a
few degrees colder than in the South. There are four seasons: Spring,
Summer, Autumn and Winter, described below. You can click here for a
Current Weather Forecast.

Summer.
June – August. Average temperature is around 14°C. Temperatures
can reach up to 30°C on some (very rare) days. Occasional

chilly at night. |

Autumn.
September – November. Weather getting colder, an average
temperature of 10°C. Leaves start changing colour and falling
off the trees. More rain showers and can be quite windy. Days
start getting shorter, with the clocks going back by 1 hour the
last Sunday in October back to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and the
sun sets by 4.30pm in November. Don’t forget your brollies
(umbrellas) or your wellies (rubber boots)! |

Winter:
December – February. Sometimes it snows and it can also often be
icy. Average temperature of around 6°C. Sunset between 4pm and
5pm. Scarves hats and gloves necessary! It is not all bad
however, as cold weather is supposed to be better for your skin
than hot weather! |
