Northern Ireland
|
 |
Northern Ireland's place in Britain's landscape is sometimes
overlooked. Yet this is a land of forest parks, lakes and
windswept moors, with dozens of small towns hidden away in the
countryside and fishing villages strung out along the shore.
Northern Ireland is just 85 miles long and 70 miles wide. |
You can drive from the Atlantic beaches of the Causeway Coasts and
Glens, through Belfast and on to the seaside resorts of the Kingdoms of
Down, in just two or three hours. And you could travel from the City of
Derry through the Sperrins to the Fermanagh Lakeland in even less time.
There are many things to see and do in Northern Ireland, from new
attractions such as the W5 Discovery Centre at Belfast's Odyssey Complex
to old favourites like Barry's Amusements in Portrush, Belfast Zoo,
Bangor's Pickie Family Fun Park and the Marble Arch Caves in Fermanagh.
From our National Museums and Galleries to family-owned Open Farms,
community-run Heritage Centres and commercial entertainment complexes,
the range is vast.
